SHAMBLE OVER SATS MARKING A DISGRACE - KRAMER

Susan Kramer, MP for Richmond Park and North Kingston has condemned the shambles over the marking of Key Stage 2 SATs.

Susan Kramer MP commented:

"I wrote to the schools in my constituency about this issue, and I have heard from many that are still having problems."

"Headteachers have told me that communication from the company who marked the papers has been poor, many are in the process of appealing the marks they have received, and children have broken up for the summer not knowing their results."

"It is simply ridiculous that the Government yesterday published SAT results when so many schools across the country are either waiting for results or are appealing marks."
