MP CALLS FOR TEMPORARY POST OFFICE FOR EAST SHEEN

Susan Kramer MP is working to get the East Sheen Post Office re-opened as soon as possible.

Susan Kramer MP has called for the Post Office to open a temporary Post Office facility in the car park of Sheen Lane Centre to serve residents and businesses currently left without a Post Office in East Sheen.

Susan Kramer commented:

"I have been in regular contact with the Post Office, who tell me that they are working to get the East Sheen Post Office re-opened as soon as possible."

"They are currently in negotiations with a new sub-postmaster, and are waiting for the various legal aspects to be finalised so the Post Office can be re-opened."

"They have assured me that this temporary closure will not turn into a permanent closure."

"I know what an inconvenience having to travel further afield to use other Post Offices is for local residents, and how the nearby Mortlake Post Office has been struggling to cope."

"In the meantime, I am pushing for a temporary Post Office to be provided in the car park of the Sheen Lane Centre."
